User Gatlin

This is a wee bit delayed news, I know, but Peter, my pet cat, died a few weeks ago.  He was hit by a car.  I was trying to get a picture of him to put up here for this post, but kept forgetting to ask my mom.  Anyway...

Peter was a good cat.  Really, he was the best cat I've ever known.  He was a bit fat, yeah, but that was his persona - he lived the Garfield lifestyle.  Well, except for the general rudeness.  I'm pretty sure he never punched anyone over food, or kicked Keena off a table.  Then again that would explain why Keena is so good about not getting on the tables...  He was lazy, chubby, and best of all, he was lovable.

I'll be honest.  I miss that cat somethin' fierce.  I don't know how to put it into words, cuz I'm not that great with 'em.  Never claimed to be.  But I can say this much honestly: the day he died, I cried.  A good bit, too.  I cried.  My mom cried.  I think Megan cried a little, and she never even lived with him.

I miss him.  I want another cat, but I know that no cat can replace the void Peter left (not a fat joke).  Hell, I can't even have a cat where I live.  We play with the neighbor's kitty from time to time, but it's just not the same.  Although not having to feed or care for it is nice...  But still...  I miss Peter.

I'll see you when I get to Heaven, Peter!  Of course, that'll be a while, so you might want to hang out with some other cats.  Go find Midnight and Freddy!  Tell 'em I said "Yo."

Yep, so, the wife and I watched the premier of the Dresden Files. It's pretty awesome. I recommend it. It's about a guy who is a wizard / detective named Harry Dresden. Uhm... My wife could tell you more. I just felt like updating because I haven't in a long, long time. Peace out.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Haven't really had anything to talk about. Let's see, since I last updated, here's what's gone on in the life of gt:

Zelda Twilight Princess (Wii): Best Zelda ever, without a doubt. It's freakin' awesome.

Mario & Luigi 2 (DS): Pretty nice little RPG, very well suited for a handheld.

Cooking Mama (DS): Actually my wife's, but I love it, too. Fun as hell.

Sonic The Hedgehog (360): Worst Sonic game ever. Ugh. Almost made me gag.

Viva Pinata (360): Amazingly addictive. Quite fun, until some bastard kills your pinatas.

Heroes V (PC): Okay, unless you get the expansion. Then it's great. They added dwarves. DWARVES!

And in movies...

Clerks II: Just as great as the first, IMO. I love it. I will buy it.

And, of course, to go with all these, we've been playing a LOT of D&D. As in, almost too much - if that's possible.

Yep, I have a Nintendo Wii and Zelda: Twilight Princess.

BTW: Best. System. Ever.

I rented Guitar Hero 2. It's awesome. Lynyrd Skynyrd. Danzig. Kansas. Aerosmith. Heart. Black Sabbath. Cheap Trick. Van Halen. Buckethead. Spinal Tap. GUNS N ROSES.

But, most bizarrely - TROGDOR! And, DETHKLOK!

So, Friday, Megan and I played some D&D. A first for both of us. We played alongside our buddy Peter, and our DM was Gabe. It was cool. Dwarf Barbarian I am, until I was capable of being a Drunken Master. So now Barbarian/Drunken Master. It's quite fun. I see why so many of us nerds love it! We'll be playing again next Friday, so yay and stuff! Hehe. I'm bored and I don't want to go to class in a few minutes, but I have no choice really. *sigh*

So, I rented Rockstar's "Bully" for PS2, and just beat it tonight. Gotta say, it's a darn fun little title. You basically play as a 15 year old kid, Jimmy Hopkins, who gets sent to one hellhole of a school. Your main goal is to work your way from being a loser up to ruling the school. You attain this by beating the crap out of the other cliques - the jocks, the nerds, the preps, the bullies, the greasers (who all look like the FONZ!), and the drop-outs. It's pretty sweet. I can't even begin to explain just how deep the storyline to this game is. It is VERY well written. I was pleasantly surprised. I may even buy it. So there ya go: My little review of Bully. My one complaint? That I've already beat it. I want more!

So I got a new phone + new phone number. E-mail me for the number and I MIGHT just give it to you. Maybe. Possibly. It could happen.

It's the first phone I've ever had that can download ringtones! And, for that matter, midis. So yeah, I got me some midis of Zelda, Mario, Sonic, Final Fantasy, and of course - EarthBound. EarthBound = Best. Game. Ever.

Yeah, so I haven't posted in a while. I have three reasons (excuses).

One - Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Best movie I've seen in years, seriously. If you haven't watched it, I feel kind of compelled to hit you.

Two - Packing up to move. I'm sure Shannon can agree with me on that one. Moving is quite the time-taker-upper.

Three - I'm getting married Saturday! Which involves a lot of getting ready for as well.

Go see Superman Returns.

Firstly, I have had a bad couple of days. Let's just put it this way - I had to completely reformat my hard drive due to a trojan horse. Quite the messy situation.

Secondly...

Blasted Terioncalling the Owlbear got me down to one health, so I had to escape... Curse you, Megan, you stinkin' half-owl-half-bear!

Thirdly, tis 3:45 in the morn. Yep, insomnia returns, apparantly.

It's official, folks - Comedy Central is to show 13 new episodes of none other than FUTURAMA sometime in the near future!  All the original VAs are signed on, as well - it's FINALLY coming back!  Friggin' sweet...

Now, a quick question:  What's worse, the fact that I just watched an entire episode of Chuck Norris Karate Kommando, or that I enjoyed it?
